I caught a few driver double takes riding up the coast into the city--people seem to respond with a bit more respect, as if agreeing that there needs to a bicycle lane there and behaving appropriately.
I'll probably throw it on from time to time over the next couple days, even.
there are a few routes to my work in east oakland that require juggling some heavy traffic, i've been pulling this out from time to time for when i end up on those streets.

It's all fun until you get ridden over by an overly-aggressive cyclist.
