king's ridge (4 | 5)

woke up early to explore a 65 mile loop of amazing backcountry before it got too hot. lots of folks seem to consider this road one of the best around, and i'm partial to agree. amazing terrain, often an 8' wide ribbon of pavement, redwoods, oaks, ocean.

Inspiring. The family is going to be coming down along the coast from Redwoods down to SanFran. Too bad I can't steal away the LHT or Bleriot for a ride in such a majestic landscape. Looking forward to it, though, by car or not.
