after polishing off the last draft of my thesis I hit the trails and rode out to lake chabot, where word had it 50 folks were camping.


you can ride there entirely on dirt which begins about a mile from my door. always nice.

(the next day we grinded out the 40 miles remaining to the san luis amtrak in the rain, my camera stayed in the bag).

woke up with our friends Ty and Raya, whose paths crossed ours waiting to sneak through a rockslide closure on hwy1. they were touring to wherever they pleased and loving it.
