I left for work in europe, thinking i'd be able to update my blog--i didn't realize my inability to receive text messages would prevent me from being able to log in here. But: I'm back and posting once again! I'll get caught up with comments and emails soon-sorry to leave anyone hanging. Before I process a backlog of photos, I figure I'd start with last night.

after polishing off the last draft of my thesis I hit the trails and rode out to lake chabot, where word had it 50 folks were camping.


you can ride there entirely on dirt which begins about a mile from my door. always nice.
